Made by owner Sheila McLaughlin, who has been in business for over 20 years, you are guaranteed a top quality product that can not be beaten. It all begins with a free 1 hour consultation where the bride and groom together with Sheila decide on their unique design. There is a large choice of cake samples to taste, especially Sheila’s superb Belgian chocolate cake. Fruit cake is still popular but various flavours of sponge are on the increase. All the cakes are made by Sheila at the premises of Cakes Etcetera. Individual tastes are always catered for, including those with dietary considerations, i.e. gluten free etc.
Sheila is a registered PME tutor and teaches the art of Sugarcraft and Cake Decoration at Cakes Etcetera, Long Eaton. Sheila offers a Hen Party Package, offering a bride and her friends the opportunity to get involved in cup-cake making workshop, including lunch and taking home all that they create.
The shop is constantly referred to by customers as an Aladdin’s Cave of sugarcraft equipment and is extensively stocked. It is well worth a visit!
